I recently bought my secret pal teacher friend Jelly Belly pencils–what a great idea for a teacher, right? When they’re done eating the jelly beans inside, they can use it for that kid who never comes to class with his/her pencil in hand!

For a more comic secret pal treat, try the Jelly Belly BeanBoozled (don’t you just love that name?) nasty flavors of jelly beans. They come in:

  • Canned Dog Food
  • Skunk Spray
  • Rotten Egg
  • Centipede
  • Booger
  • Baby Wipes
  • Barf
  • Moldy Cheese
  • Pencil Shavings
  • Toothpaste

How nasty is that? If you secret pal is a Harry Potter fan, Jelly Belly also makes Bertie Bott’s Every-Flavored Beans from that famous children’s book series by J.K. Rawling.  These jelly beans come in the following flavors:

  • Cherry
  • Cinnamon
  • Dirt
  • Earthworm
  • Earwax
  • Grass
  • Green Apple
  • Marshmallow
  • Rotten Egg
  • Sausage
  • Lemon
  • Soap
  • Tutti-Fruitti
  • Vomit
  • Watermelon

For coaches and athletes, Jelly Belly also has Extreme Sports jelly beans. (My link shows the price per case, but I’m sure if you surf around–or drive around town long enough–you could find the individual bags of Extreme Sports jelly beans.)

Jelly Belly also makes a jelly-bean tie for a male principal or a male teacher. But that might be a little expensive for a secret pal-type of gift ($20). Save that for your secret pal’s special day, I suggest, or for that final gift at the big reveal.

If I didn’t mention the Jelly Belly gift that suits your secret pal teacher friend, check out their website. They’re loaded with tons of great stuff!

Post Script: I couldn’t find a link to the jelly-bean-filled pencil that I mentioned at the start of today’s post, but I found the Jelly Belly pencils that  I bought at my local grocery store. So ask around town, and you might be able to locate them.
