There are plenty of ideas for making an edible snowman on the web, but just to make it easy for my followers, I’ve created a bunch of helpful links to various edible snowmen:

Melted Snowman Oreo Cookie Ball Recipe from Cookies and Cups

Snowman Sugar Cookies Made to Order from BakeMePretty on Etsy

Snowman Cookie Idea from Ingredients, Inc.

Powdered Donut Snowmen from The Celebration Shoppe

And here’s a link to my “Fun With Food” Pinterest page, which has a bunch of marshmallow snowmen ideas, like the one pictured above.

Later I’ll offer the perfect “Tasty Snowman” poem to accompany your Secret Santa snowman gifts, so check back with me in another week for the follow-up!

#GiftIdeas: What to Give Your #AdministrativeAssistant for “#SecretaryDay”

As a matter of fact, I’ve been given the task of getting our school’s secretary a gift for Administrative Assistant Day this year. So like everyone else, I scoured the internet for ideas, and here’s what I’ve come up with:

Secretary Day Gift Ideas

If you want to make this lovely bouquet, you’ll have to visit 52KitchenAdventures.com at this link for the instructions. But yum! Doesn’t that look lovely? What administrative assistant wouldn’t love to get a rose bouquet like that one?

A little mouse told me what to give my #SecretPal or #Office Buddy (#Logitech)

Searching for something fun to give your secret pal or office buddy? Have you noticed all the nifty styles that a bluetooth mouse comes in these days?

I’m not affiliated with the Logitech company, but I do own (and love) a Logitech mouse. Mine was relatively inexpensive (under $20) and it works great! I also get lots of compliments on it because it’s such a fun style.

Here are some of the different styles offered by Logitech:

And there are many more! Mine is a cute little owl, for example.

Give a kite for your #August #SecretPal #GiftIdea!

Image shows a rainbow-striped triangular kite on a blue sky (with a few clouds) background.

It’s pretty straightforward. A kite is a super-fun item to play around with on the beach, down at the lake, or even in your own backyard.

You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy playing with a kite. Unwrapping one from its packaging brings out the inner child in all of us!

So consider giving your Secret Pal a kite for his/her July or August gift. They’re available at Walgreens, Walmart, and many toy stores.

#4thOfJuly #GiftIdeas for your #SecretPal

Image shows a worn baseball glove holding a baseball next to two mason jars filled with home-made lemonade over ice.

I realize it’s only June 4th, but we’ve got to plan ahead, right?

For my 4th of July Secret Pal gift idea, I’d like to suggest putting together all the fixin’s for your secret pal to make himself/herself some home-made lemonade. Search for a recipe online and print it out. Also place the following goodies in one of those summer jars you see on sale at every store in town:

  • A dozen fresh lemons
  • A bag of C&H pure cane sugar
  • A wooden spoon
  • A juice squeezer

Tie a big yellow ribbon around the jar, and you’ve got a 4th of July gift for your Secret Pal!

#MothersDay or #FathersDay #GiftIdeas from SecretPalTeachers.WordPress.com

Image shows a young woman putting together a scrapbook.

Here’s an inexpensive gift you can make for your mom or dad that will really make them smile!

Step 1: Go through your old scrapbooks and find old photos of yourself and your siblings.

Step 2: Use a scanner to make digital copies of the photos or just take pictures of them with your cell phone.

Step 3: Edit the photos in a photo studio program, giving them sepia tones, silly mustaches, frames, captions, or another theme. (I recommend sticking to one theme throughout the production — like just silly mustaches on every page or just frames or just sepia.)

Step 4: Purchase an inexpensive photo booklet with sleeves that are easy to flip through.

Step 5: Put the photo booklet together with occasional famous quotes or written memories on every other page or so.

Step 6: Mail it to Mom or Dad using the postal service.

#SecretPal #Gift Ideas for a Man: home-made bread

Image shows five different kind of bread superimposed on one another.

Image: iClipart

Home-made bread is the all-time best secret pal gift idea for a man. What man doesn’t love a loaf of home-baked bread?

Okay, granted some men may be diabetic and/or on a low-carb diet. Do a little homework to make sure that isn’t the case before you place that yummy-smelling home-made bread on his desk in his cubicle. If you find that’s the case, maybe go with a Hickory Farms cheese sampler or something like that.

However most men really love a loaf of home-made bread.

If you’re not a confident baker, just go to the frozen foods aisle at your grocery store and buy the frozen loaf of ready-to-rise bread. Allow it to thaw and rise before baking it, following all the directions on the package. Show up at work the next day with that yummy, fresh-smelling bread under one arm and a from-your-secret-pal gift card in your hand.

St. Patrick’s Day Poem for Secret Pals

Image of several cubical-shaped bottles of nail polish

Image: iClipart

Here’s a great gift idea for a secret pal who is female: offer her green and pink nail polish, package it in a clever way, and attach this little St. Patrick’s Day poem:

Here’s some polish

In green and rose

To paint your fingers

And decorate your toes

Your nails they glitters

Your nails they glows

When you file them often

Your beauty shows

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
